Ephraim Egbele, CPA

Founder and Managing Director

Ephraim Egbele is Founder and Managing Director of EFS Group, PLLC where he focuses on client relations and business development. Ephraim has been a Certified Public Accountant since 2012.

Previously, Ephraim was an Audit Associate at Pricewaterhouse Coopers, where he worked on financial audit engagements of large Fortune 100 companies. Since 2009, Ephraim has dedicated his career to helping small business owners strategize on how they can maximize their profits while lowering their tax liabilities. Ephraim dedicates his work to helping entrepreneurs improve their business finances and in turn, grow their businesses.

Ephraim holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Houston. Ephraim is a Gold-level Xero Certified Advisor. He is also a proud member of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). For fun, he enjoys traveling, dining out and spending time with his wife and twin boys.

Rita Egbele, CPA

Co-Founder

Rita Egbele is the Chief Operating Officer of EFS Group, PLLC where she focuses on project management and the day-to-day operations of the firm. She began working as an accountant at Pricewaterhouse Coopers and left as a Manager after 7 years. Her experience includes performing financial statement audits for publicly traded and private companies.

Rita holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master’s in Business Administration from Howard University. She became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 2008. She holds CPA licenses in Virginia and Texas.

Rita enjoys working out, traveling and exploring different cultures and foods. She is also a home-body and enjoys spending time at home with her husband, twin boys and close friends.

Micah Ine

Chief Financial Officer

Micah Ine is a solutions driven Finance leader with almost 20 years of experience in energy, manufacturing, and consulting. From performing financial analysis and executing on a company’s strategic objectives, his work with Fortune 500 companies, midsize, as well as startups have been centered on enhancing enterprise value. With a hands-on leadership approach in facilitating margin growth and operational efficiencies, he has revitalized several businesses and positioned them for continued success. He kicked off his professional career at Hess where he supported upstream operations globally. With brief stints at Noble Energy and Olin, he developed strategic business plans, managed capital projects and helped optimize asset utilization. Micah has a passion to improve the lives of underserved communities and has been involved with non-profits like Houston Food bank, Habitat for Humanity, and Junior Achievement. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting, and a Masters of Business Administration both from the University of Houston.

Erika Tillotson

Operations Manager

Erika Tillotson is the Operations Manager of EFS Group, PLLC, where she focuses on leading the firm’s day-to-day business operations. As an operations professional, Erika is dedicated to improving organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

Erika holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Salisbury University and a Master’s degree in Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus.

Erika enjoys cooking for her family, working out, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Jerry Mendez

Accounting Manager

Jerry Mendez focuses on problem-solving and work review as the Accounting Manager of EFS Group, PLLC. As an accountant with seven years of experience, Jerry is committed to helping small businesses succeed. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University and is a Xero Certified Advisor, and is actively working towards his goal of becoming a CPA. For fun, he enjoys barbecuing on the weekends and spending time with his family.

Krisa Bly

Finance Team Lead

Krisa is the Finance Team Lead for EFS Group, PLLC where she focuses on our real estate and professional service clientele. Krisa has a knack for budgets, forecasting, and business planning. Krisa holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University-San Antonio. In addition, she is actively pursuing the CPA exam with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy. For fun, she enjoys yoga, family time, and traveling.
